AQUALYX® works by locking onto the walls of the fat cell and making it unstable so it releases the content of fatty acid inside. The body then uses up the fatty acid as energy and removes the cell residue in its normal way.

The treatment is virtually painless as the fat tissue is almost free of sensation and AQUALYX® contains an additional local anaesthetic. A thin cannula is used to inject the solution directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue. After treatment the area may be red or swollen, minor bruising might develop and subside after a couple of days.

The amount of treatments varies as it depends on the desired outcome and amount of fat deposit you hold. On average you will have to expect around 3 to 5 treatments with 4 to 6-week intervals.

A healthy diet and exercise regimen must be maintained to ensure successful treatment results.

AQUALYX® is not recommended if you are suffering from acute or chronic skin disease in the affected area.

For safety reasons all patients with a medical history including anaphylactic reactions, severe allergies, severe illnesses, autoimmune diseases, diabetes and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are excluded from any treatment with  AQUALYX®.

Do not apply any cosmetics to the treated area within a 12-hour period and avoid direct sources of heat and radiation (UV radiation, sunlight and sauna etc). We recommend you avoid any strenuous exercise for 7 days.

Your skin may be slightly red straight after treatment where the treatment was administered and bruising or swelling can occur which will subside.

The treatment results are permanent as long as a strict diet and good exercise regiment are maintained.

For some clients, the results of the treatment are visible after 48 hours although the full effects can take up to 4-6 weeks.
